About

SCIENCE OF LEARNING APPLIED

My life has been filled with faith, family, culture, political observations, education, and hobbies.  My matchless wife Sheila helps inspire and refine everything. My origins include my Mennonite parents and conflicting purposes:

  1. Glorifying God as the Spirit leads, vs.
  2. Trying to be a City on a Hill for His glory, but in reality trying by my own silly devices, and thus for my glory.

My faith lapsed a couple of years after high school, and rebounded some years later.  By then, I had a pretty good City on a Hill going for myself in teaching, music, and summer camp work.

Retirement from teaching and cleaning out files showed a glory-to-God history.  Having explored the chances of getting the resulting 65,000-word manuscript published, I learned that I needed to blog.

The good Lord brought me back out of my self-glorifying City in a Swamp in 1977.  The result is this blog.

Lord, lead me.
